Journal category |
Give the journal category a unique name. |
Brief description journal category |
In addition to the name, the abbreviated name is visible in the overview of journal categories. For example, specify for which type of projects a journal category should be used or which special transactions are (not) available. |
Disallow posting to external projects |
Activate this setting to generally exclude all transaction categories that allow postings to external projects. Posting to external projects is activated via an organisational setting, i.e. it is generally possible in all projects. To exclude postings to external projects in certain projects, create a journal category for these in which this setting is activated. Alternatively, you can also manually exclude individual transactions that allow postings to external projects. |
Enter the name of the journal category in other relevant languages. The name is displayed depending on the language set by the user.
Assign the journal category to project types. The accounts that can be posted to in a project depend on the project type. When you set up a new project, you must select a project type. Which journal categories (and therefore transactions) are subsequently available in the project depends on this assignment. For example, you can assign a journal category that allows posting to external projects to a project type that is only used in regional offices that only post costs to external projects.
NOTE: Project types are created in the Organisational setting sin the project management. |
