Journal categories simplify posting in WINPACCS Accounting by restricting the possible transactions and accounts for certain categories of journals. Use journal categories to make only relevant options available and reduce unnecessary sources of error. It also speeds up the posting process because your employees have fewer options to choose from. The settings affect the fields Transaction category, transaction type and cost category (or type of income) in WINPACCS Accounting
How you should configure journal classes depends on the cash flows in your projects. You can find some examples on the page Usable transaction categories and types.
NOTE: The Journal category differs from the journal class. Journal classes are fixed in WINPACCS Cloud and specify where accounting data comes from and how it is processed. You configure the journal categories yourself according to your requirements. When you create a new journal, first select the journal class. Then select - only for journals of the journal class Project accounting - the journal category. |
