Create new asset

 

 

To create a new asset, click on New (New) in the menu in the Asset overview. A window opens in which you can select the Movement type:

Select Enter existing asset to add an asset to the list of assets that was already managed in the project before you started using the Inventory management in WINPACCS Cloud.

Select Acquisition by donation in kind if an asset is donated to the project.

Then click on Continue to enter the master data.

You cannot create new assets with the following movement types:

Acquisition by purchase, sales, write-ups, cost reductions: All acquisitions involving cash flows must be posted in WINPACCS Accounting. If these postings have been uploaded in a closing to WINPACCS Cloud and released, you can see these assets in the Asset overview: Switch there to the New assets view. You still have to complete the master data of these assets. To do so, open an asset and click on Edit (Edit).

NOTE: If you activate the Tasks related to assets setting at My account > Settings > Email notifications you will receive an email when you have to complete the master data in WINPACCS Cloud of a new asset from WINPACCS Accounting.

Disposed of assets: If you have forwarded an asset free of charge to another project, partner, donor or third party, or if it is destroyed, lost or stolen, enter this movement in WINPACCS Cloud. Open the asset and click on Add movement (MoveAsset).
