This section logs the Movements of anasset. The movement types that are available are defined in the Organisational settings.
All movements involving cash flows are posted in WINPACCS Accounting . You can see these movements in WINPACCS Cloudwhen the postings have been uploaded and released in a closing:
Acquisition by purchase |
The asset was purchased by paying an acquisition amount. This movement can only be the first movement of an asset.

Write-up |
After the purchase there was an increase in value,for instancethe asset was supplemented by additional equipment. You can also see this movement in the section Residual value development. |

Cost reduction |
After the purchase, the acquisition costs were reduced,for instanceby a subsequent price reduction. You can also see this movement in the section Residual value development. |

Sale |
The asset was sold. It is included in the List of assets as Disposed of . |

Reversal |
All posted movements can be reversed in WINPACCS Accounting . |
The following movements do not require payments. You record these movements in WINPACCS Cloud with the function Add movement (). Where appropriate, you can also enter a reason.
All movements that mark an asset as disposed, generate a handover report. You can download this by clicking on the movement type.
Acquisition by donation in kind |
An asset is donated to the project. Click in the List of assets in the menu on New ( |
Entry of an existing asset |
Anasset that already existed in the project before you used the inventory management in WINPACCS Cloud is added to the list of assets. Click in the List of assets in the menu on New ( |
Forward to external project |
The asset is passed on to another project in your organisation free of charge. It is marked as Disposed of. The project number displayed belongs to the project that forwards the asset. Open the asset and click on Add movement ( |
Acquisition from external project |
The asset is accepted free of charge from another project in your organisation. This movement is automatically entered when you transfer an asset to another project. The project number displayed belongs to the project which receives the asset. The Date of access and the imputed useful life are transferred from the original project. The residual value development therefore does not change. |
Handover to partner |
The asset is passed on to a partner free of charge. It is marked as Disposed of. Open the asset and click on Add movement ( Depending on your organisation's settings, a partner list may be predefined or you may have to enter a partner. Optionally, you can print out a handover record. To open the handover record again later, click on the movement. |
Returning to a donor |
The asset is returned to the donor free of charge. It is marked as Disposed of. Open the asset and click on Add movement ( |
Other disposals |
The asset is donated to a third party or it has been destroyed, lost or stolen. It is marked as Disposed of. Open the asset and click on Add movement ( |
Disposal undone |
If the asset is disposed of after one of the following movements you can retrieve it: ▪Handover to partner ▪Returning to a donor ▪Other disposals To do this, open the asset and click on Undo disposal ( If you have forwarded an asset to another project, you cannot retrieve it. However, the other project can forward the asset back to your project. |
The handover record is a report in "PDF" format that is created each time an asset is disposed of. It is divided into the following sections:

In this section, all assets are shown with their acquisition amount and residual value at the time of transfer.

Signature |
This section allows you to have the transfer of the asset confirmed by signature. |
Different functions are available, depending on whether you are creating the asset, editing it, or whether it has been disposed of.
Edit |
Switches to edit mode so that you can edit the Master data . You can only edit certain fields. Then click on Save to confirm your changes and also enter a reason for them. You can no longer edit assets if they are marked as Disposed of. |

Add movement |
Use this function to enter a movement of a asset in WINPACCS Cloud which does not require a posting in WINPACCS Accounting because no money flows. A window opens that allows you to enter details of the movement. Select the Movement type: ▪Other disposals if you donate the asset to a third party, or if it is destroyed, lost or stolen. This is typically the last movement of an asset. Use the field Recipientto specify who received the asset and the field Reasonto describe the disposal in more detail. Indicatefor instancethe name of the recipient of the donation or the reason for the loss. ▪Select Forward to external project if you forward an asset to another project free of charge. All projects in the In planning, Approved internally, Active project status and Ended are available. ▪Select Handover to partnerif you forward an asset to a partner free of charge. You can select from all the partners of the project to which the asset is assigned. ▪Select Return to donor when you return an asset to the donor who funded it. This movement type is only available if funding has been assigned to the asset. With the option Print handover record, you can optionally generate a PDF report that records the handover. Save your entries with Add. The asset is automatically identified marked as Disposed of. It is then no longer included in the List of assets . To display it, activate the quick filter Display disposed of assets (

Undo disposal |
Undoes one of the following movements: ▪Other disposals ▪Handover to partner ▪Returning to a donor This function is only available if the asset is marked as Disposed of. You cannot retrieve an asset that you have forwarded to an external project. However, the external project can be returned to the original project using the Forward to external project movement type. |

Creates a PDF document containing all of an asset’s master data, movements and residual value development. |

Opens a sidebar in which all the changes to the master data are documented. |
