WINPACCS allows posting data to be entered in project countries where there is only a poor Internet connection. At the same time, you can view and evaluate this data centrally in WINPACCS Cloud.
In doing so WINPACCS Cloud ensures that only the accountants of a single-user or network installation of WINPACCS Accounting can work with the journal. Several accountants within this installation can post in the journal at the same time. However, accountants working on different installations can not post in a journal at the same time. This prevents voucher numbers from being assigned twice if there is no Internet connection.
The users of an installation that accept the journal from WINPACCS Cloud, can post in it. It must first be returned before a user of another installation can accept it and post in it.
The journal status tells you whether the journal is currently assigned to an installation of WINPACCS Accounting for exclusive use on it.
IMPORTANT: Note that the journal status is only communicated to WINPACCS Cloud when returning and accepting from the respective installation of WINPACCS Accounting. In order for the status of the journal to be updated in another installation of WINPACCS Accounting the project firstly has to be published in WINPACCS Cloud and the project data can then be updated in the other installation. |
Available |
The journal is currently not accepted in WINPACCS Accounting. Any installation can accept it. |
Accepted |
The journal is accepted in the installation which is displayed right at the top of the journal history. In order for users of other installations to be able to post vouchers in it, a user of this installation must first return it to WINPACCS Cloud. |
Finalised |
The journal can no longer be used. The balances of all balance accounts are zero and it has been permanently closed. |
In the history you can see when a journal was accepted, or returned, by which user, and in which installation (device number and location). The name of the user is for information purposes. Users do not have to return the journal after each usage; it only has to be returned if a user at another location wants to work with it.
Use the table settings to change the display.

Download / upload journal transfer data |
Journal transfer files transmit the journal status from WINPACCS Accounting to WINPACCS Cloud and vice versa. When connected to the Internet, the accepting, returning, finalising and withdrawing of journals is communicated automatically between applications. If a Journal is to be accepted or returned in an installation of WINPACCS Accounting which does not have a connection to WINPACCS Cloud the status must be transferred manually. |
|
Download: |
Savethe file with the *.jtx extension locally and specify the path in WINPACCS Accounting when prompted. |
||
If the automatic upload is not possible, you can upload the journal transfer file manually. WINPACCS Accounting saves all journal transfer files in a specified folder. You can view and change the path in WINPACCS Accounting at Extras > Settings > File storage locations > Uploads. These are files of the JTX file type. Upload this file here. The files are named using the following pattern: Example: JTX_12345_001EUR_42_20240603_083415.JTX •JTX = Journal transfer file •12345 = project number •001EUR = Journal number and voucher currency of the journal •42 = last contained voucher number in journal •20240603 = creation date 2024-06-03 •083415 = creation time 08:34:15 (system time of the user)

If the journal can no longer be returned on the original installationfor instancebecause the computer is defective, you can withdraw the journal from the installation. Please note that data loss may occur. All the postings that have not yet been uploaded in a closing are not transferred and must be posted again. You should only use this function if you no longer have access to the original installation. This function is not available for journals with the New release status.
