journal class

Select the journal class. The journal classes that are available depend on the project category.

Project category Office or Project:

▪Use the journal class Project Accountingto post balance sheet effective vouchers in WINPACCS Accounting . This is the most commonly used journal class. You can also assign such journals to Cash books for WINPACCS Cashbook .

▪For each project, you can create one journal of the journal class Project accounting (costs from external projects) . If you create a journal of this type, in selected external projects cost postings can be assigned to this project. This journal collects all postings in WINPACCS Cloudthat occur in other projects for this project and makes them available to the Project controlling . The journal is not available in WINPACCS Accounting .

▪Use the journal class Partner accounting (with voucher category for information purposes and accounting software External system), if you want to import vouchers for information purposes of a partner in the project. Vouchers can be imported in CSV format or from Tally in journals such as these. The journal is only available in WINPACCS Cloud and provides these vouchers to the Project controlling . The journal is not available in WINPACCS Accounting .

▪Journals of the journal class Partner accounting (with voucher category for information purposes and accounting software WINPACCS Cloud) are automatically created in all projects in which a partner book has been created.

Project category Partner project:

▪Use the journal class Partner accounting (with voucher category for information purposes and accounting software WINPACCS Accounting 4), so that accountants can post vouchersfor information purposes . You need a journal such as this, for example, if you are working on a joint project with a partner.

▪For each project, you can create one journal of the journal class Project accounting (costs from external projects) . Journals of the journal class Company accounting are automatically created in all projects when your organisation transfers data from company accounting.

Voucher type

Which voucher types are available depends on the journal class. Vouchers are either balance sheet effective or for information purposes.

Accounting software

Vouchers are posted in WINPACCS with WINPACCS Accounting . Vouchers from external systems are always vouchers from Company or Partner accounting.
